Their balance of features, performance, and pricing is outstanding. The managed WordPress hosting, free SSL, and the pay-as-you-go pricing model have made my management experience much smoother. I've used both. They both have good tech support. I've been able to get questions answered right away by both hosts. I haven't used wpengine for a few years. I'm using cloudways currently. Cloudways has a setting you can enable that will turn on safe.
